My IPOD kicks ass. I guess it is the first step in many to owning MAC hardware. ;)
I have to say that i have broken iTunes in about 20 ways. I can see how it would be painless if used in exactly the way they intend, but not when used in any other manner. God forbid you have an mp3 library of songs without ID3 tags. You will fill my pain. And something tells me that it was ported to the Windows platform.
Posted by darkarmani at August 5, 2004 12:10 PMyo brad … don’t be freaked out by this comment. or do, because it’s totally weird in so many ways. i ended up at your site because i was looking at some old emails from betsy and she was saying something about your site and capoeira, and so i just now went and looked, and there’s the bit about your ipod. and so here’s where getting a comment from someone you don’t even really know gets even fucking weirder: so i had this dream last night, in it i went to the store to buy a jumpdrive but I was trying to convince myself that it was okay to spend $250 more than i had planned, to buy a 40gig ipod instead of a 1 gig jumpdrive, the logic being that i would certainly have space on it for work stuff even after i put all my music on it. and THEN you and jon and someone else i can't remember now walk in the store (what the fuck? i haven’t seen either of you in two years) and you tell me not to buy it because americans buy too much too often and we don’t need all these toys, and then you say we should go swimming instead.
i obviously wouldn’t share this with you … but then i ended up at your site (all betsy’s fault) and you were talking about your ipod and the synchronicity was just too much for me to keep to myself.
take care (she says with a squeaky "what the hell am i posting this comment for?" voice)
peace

Did you buy the iPod? In your dream that is. I hope you did. If there is one place where conspicuous consumption is OK, it would have to be in your dreams.

How was the swimming? I think i remember it. You wore a 2 piece and jon and i both wore one piece swimsuits.
Yeah, i remember when betsy existed. It was a long time ago.
Posted by: darkarmani at August 18, 2004 02:59 PMHa. I didn't buy the iPod. I was vacillating about the swimming, and then I woke up. I wanted to go swimming though ...
